who has graciously sent his pass to Father Rosenthal to shorten the expenses.
25 Father Rosenthal is back. He made a very successful and enjoyable trip, and he received the authorisation [sic] of His Lordship as well as several letters of recommendation to help him out down East.
27 Father Rosenthal starts by the three o.clock train this afternoon, going East. He will be absent for about a month. He will try to secure a loan down there, and he intents [sic] to see churches, the sight of which could give some good idea with regard to the building of our new church here.

All went home satisfied hoping that soon after Lent those socials will be taken up again. The financial result amounted to $83,50.

At 8.30 this evening, grand concert in Caledonian hall, in the honor of St. Patrick. This concert has been organised [sic] by the Children of Mary and was a real success. The hall was crowded to the doors. After some songs nicely rendered by the Children of Mary, and a rose drill executed by ten school children, lawyer Ryan of Calgary interested the audience by a powerful and poetic speech, wherein he has exalted the Irish people and given then shortly the history of their nation.
