21 This afternoon, it is the time of the biggest children who did not prove at all inferior to what could have been expected of them. Grand and interesting time for one hour and a half. The rival speakers, the flag song and the rose drill were greatly appreciated. But the masterpiece of the whole seance was the representation of the nativity of O.L. when about thirty children prostrated themselves before the crib of the Child Jesus, some representing angels, some others the shepherds, and all singing, together, with accompaniment of organ, violin and several other instruments those lovely Christmas hymns that we hear always with a new pleasure.
20 This evening, between three and six o,clock the ladies of the Altar Society had a pantry sale at Mrs. Gibbons residence. Very good success. They cleared up about 45 dollars.
22 Father Holt, lately arrived from the scolasticate [sic] of Liege, came to Lethbridge by the midnight train. He will act as assistant to Father Meyer, et will take a share in his mission work.
