the past year with regard to the frequentations of the Holy Eucharist.
At 10,45, the clergy and the children who were to be confirmed went in procession to the door of the priest’s house, and his Lordship made a solemn entrance in the parish and in the Church. A mass in music was nicely executed by the choir. After high Mass, his Lorship [sic] rose up to address the people and he could convince himself, in seeing the immense crowd of catholics, how badly a new Church was needed. After the sermon, he ministered the sacrement [sic] of confirmation to 39 persons.
At 4 o’clock at the convent meeting of the Catholic Temperance Union; after, several of the members came to the priest’s house to have a talk with the Bishop with regard to the possibility of taking a loan which could allow the starting of the Church. Were present. M Mrs Hart, Kevin, L.M. Johnstone W. English, J.E. Kennedy, Ed. English. The Bishop could see at least the earnest desire of the congregation and the good will of all to help the clergy.
4 At 10 o’clock in the morning, two automobiles took the Bishop, Fath. Rosenthal, and some of our catholic men, and led then around the city. They went to No. 6, to the effect of seeing the 40 acres given by the government to the Bishop for the purpose of building there a church. The result of it was that a contract has been made between the Bishop and Mr. Doyle and the latter will erect in a near future a little frame chapel
At 8,30 p.m. an autocar took the bishop and

Mr. Hart, after a piece of music played on pious violin and cello violin, delivered a fine address in the name of the K. of C. of the C.T.U. and of all the catholic societies in Lethbridge, and welcomed his Lordship in the most eloquent terms. His Lordship replied and thanked the people for this work of respect to the ecclesiastical authority, expressed in a public reception. This being done, his Lordship came down on the floor, followed by Fath. Rosenthal, and the parishioners were presented to him. A last piece of music and finally the blessing of his Lordship closed the ceremony.
