18   Very interesting and pretty well attended lawn social here around the Church and the presbytery. Nice weather. The miners’ band played under the direction of Prof. Tremblay. It was a great success. Over 100 dollars were cleared up.
19   Regular meeting of the K. of C.
20   Fath. Bidault comes back from Calgary ,after a good week of rest spent amongs [sic] the Fathers. The retreat was preached by Fath. Hénault coming from Le Cap de la Madeleine. Fath. Meyer left the same day. He is going to Edmonton to attend the retreat which will start there the 22d inst.
22   Fath Rosenthal takes the 5 o,clock flyer this morning and goes also to Edmonton for his retreat.
   In the afternoon arrived Father Boniface of Edmonton, a member of the Franciscan Order. He comes here to preach the retreat at the Convent.
29   Father Meyer comes back from Edmonton, and goes immediately by the midnight train to Taber where they expect him for a funeral on the following day. From there he shall go to Diamond City, Sundial, etc, and will be absent the whole next week.
30   Father Leparoux comes from Pincher Creek to take Father Rosenthal’s place to morrow, Sunday. He will stay here the whole following week.
August 1 Visit of Father Lacombe who comes here on business. After an interview with Mr. Naismith he obtains from him as much coal as he needs

   for the heating of his House at Midnapore.
2   Father Lacombe leaves by the three o,clock train going to Pincher Creek.
   Father Beausoleil of High River is in Lethbridge, and spents [sic] with us a very agreable [sic] day.
4   Father Rosenthal comes back from Edmonton, after a nice trip and a grand time.
6   Father Bidault goes to Milk River, to hold the service to morrow.
9   Father Leparoux leaves Lethbridge. Father Bidault goes to Blood Reserve for a week holidays. He will come back next Saturday.
12   Father Meyer goes to Taber and Grassy Lake, and will stay away from Lethbridge the whole following week. He will hold the service on Sunday the 21st in Bow Island and will come to Lethbridge the 22d.
18   Fath. Lacombe came to day on business. He wants to have coal carried immediately to his Home at Midnapore and on that purpose makes arrangements with Mr. Naismith, manager of the mines, and with the C.P.R.
19   Fath. Lacombe goes back to Midnapore. Fath. Blais of Winnipeg comes by the 3 o.clock train from Pincher Creek. He intends to spent [sic] a week at the mission, in order to gather subscriptions for the Northwest Review.
21   Fath. Blais preached at the three Masses this morning, exposing to the parishioners the aim of his visit, and announcing that he will go and see all the catholic families of the parish who have not yet subscribed.
