Lethbridge for pastoral visit and confirmation on the third of July. Were present to that Meeting J.E. Kennedy, F. Hart, English, Bolster, T. Kennedy. They proposed to invite the Mayor of the City for a public reception and to secure the hall.
The weather is very dry. Every day public prayers are said in the church to get rain and this morning, high mass was celebrated to the same intention. The crops around Lethbridge are in a very sad condition and if God does not hear our prayers and send us a good shower it is to be feared that they will be entirely lost.
Fath. Meyer is to day in Grassy Lake. He left Lethbridge ten days ago to go to Maple Creek and around in the country. He will not be back before Wednesday or Thursday.
15 Fath. Meyer comes back to Lethbridge.
16 First lawn social of this year, around the Church and the priest’s house. Over a hundred people came in. The Miners’ band was present and everybody enjoyed the nice pieces of music executed for the first time at a social by a catholic band. It was quite a success, though many were prevented from coming on account of the threatening wheather [the "h" is crossed out]. The ladies of the altar society distinguished themselves by their good will and their generous efforts. We cleared over 50 dollars.
17 Fath. Sylla comes back from the mountains et will be here for two weeks.

18 Fath. Meyer goes to day to Diamond City and Father Sylla to Warner, to the effect of holding there the service to morrow. Both will come back on Monday.
19 Meeting at the convent of the Catholic Temperance Union. Mr. Cuthbert, second vice-president is elected first vice-president and takes the place of Mr. Maloney who has resigned. Mr. McNulty is elected second vice-president. Mr. J. E. Kennedy having sent his resignation as trustee, is replaced by Mr. McMahon who was elected to this office by acclamation.
After the evening service, about fifteen of the members of the C. T. U. came to the priest’s house to present their best regards and wishes of happy feast to fath. Rosenthal, on the occasion of the St. Aloysius day. Mr. Hart their worthy president expressed in glowing terms the heartfelt feelings of the members to which Rev. Fath Rosenthal replied nicely saying that he was too happy to have such a society in his parish and that he would do his best to promote its interests all the time.
20 Rev. Fath Rosenthal leaves by the 5 o’clock train this morning. He goes to Cranbrook, to attend at the initiation of the Knights of Colombus [sic] in that city, and to spent[sic] a few days of rest near Fath. Choinel [?].
At 8 o’clock in the afternoon, meeting of the Knights of Colombus [sic], in their regular Hall. It is decided that the regular meeting in the future will take place on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
