24   Victoria Day. – Initiation of the Knights of Colombus [sic] in Lethbridge. Very early in the morning comes Fathers Chouiel and Tasemcer[?]; after Fath. Van Ravers, and in the evening Fath Blanchet. At 8h30 mass at which all the knights and the candidates attend Fath. Beck preaches. At 9.30 all the candidates are going to Mr. Mahon-addition where the initiation will take place. They are about sixty five from Lethbridge and from the environs amongst whom five fathers Hartman, Blanchet, Lajeat, Meyer and Bidault. The first degree was conferred by the Edmonton’s team, the second by the Calgary’s and the third by Murray of Winnifred assisted by several members of Winnipeg, Calgary and Edmonton’s converts. It was a great success and all felt happy and satisfied. The ceremonies of the initiation lasted till midnight. After a big banquet organised [sic] by the ladies was offered to all the Knights about 160 in number, in Caledonian Hall Several toasts were delivered Father Rosenthal toasted to the Pope and some of the new members: Fath Hartman Mr. Label of Pincher Creek, Mr Hart, expressed in nice and glowing terms their impressions.
27   Triduum to the night in the Church, in the hours of the Blessed Sacrement [sic].
28   Fath. Meyer goes to Milk River and will not be back before the beginning[scratched out] middle of the next week.
31   At 8.30 p.m. in the Knights of Pethias Hall, first meeting of the council of the Knights of Colombus [sic] to the effect of electing the officers.

June   Retreat of the children for the first communion, which will continue for the two following days.

5   First communion of the children. Very beautiful day sub every respect. Thirty two children took place for the first time at the divine banquet. Amongst them, thirteen boys and nineteen girls. Very impressive ceremony and joy in all hearts
   At for [sic] o’clock p.m. meeting at the Convent of the C.T.U. Few attend. Measures are taken to find out why so many members abstain. Fr. Rosenthal gives nice lecture.
6   Regular meeting of the K of C. this evening at 8.30.
12   A [sic] four o’clock at the convent, meeting of the Ladies of the altar Society. It has been decided that a lawn social will be held next thursday [sic] 16th inst. – around the Church and the priest house.
   After the evening service recruting[sic] at the priest’s house of some knights of Columbus to the effect of making some arrangements for the reception of his Lordship Bishop Legal who will come to
