22.   A Social organized by the Ladies of the parish was held in St. Augustine’s Hall. The proceeds were $101.
31.   Rev. Father Jos. Schuster OMI, cousin of father Rosenthal, arrived here on his way to the Yukon.
      November.
4   Rev. father Schuster OMI left for Vancouver, from where he will continue his journey up to Dawson City.
Rev. Father Grandin OMI paid us a short visit.
21.    An eight days mission was opened at the High Mass by Rev. Father Lewis OMI, assisted by Rev. Fr. Nelz, OMI. It has been a great success. The parishioners of St Patrick’s are to be congratulated on the manner, in which they made their mission. The Church was overcrowded at both morning and evening    services. A notable feature of the mission was the large number visiting the church during the day making the Stations and reciting the Rosary. The first three days a special service was given for the children in the afternoon.
28   Sunday – Closing day of the mission. High Mass was sung by Rev. P Lestanc, assisted by Rev. Fr. Rosenthal as Deacon, and the Rev. Fr. Sylla, as subdeacon who during the mission was at the service of the Slavs. The choir under the direction of Prof. Tremblay sang the Mass of St. Cecilia.
The mission was closed for the Ladies on Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock. On the altar a statue of the Bl. Virgin was enthroned and the parish consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
