28. The closing service in the evening for the men was very impressive. The moment when hundreds of men with lighted candles in their hands renewed their baptismal vows in a strong and enthusiastic manner brought tears to the eyes of many. Thus closed one of the most beautiful and successful missions ever held in Lethbridge.
After the closing service the Organization of a Catholic Temperance Union took place when 63 members enrolled themselves and took the pledge. The following Officers were elected:

Mr. Dennis Mahoney : Second [tiny 1 written above] Vice-President

This Society will meet every second Sunday of the month, immediately after the evening service in the nave of the Church.

6. The second social of this season organized by the Ladies of the parish took place in the Caledonian Hall. It was not quite as successful as the first one, the evening being a very cold one. Proceeds: $71,95
8. Feast of Immaculate Conception. Very cold. Not many at Church.
23. Rev. father Husson, until lately purser of the Vicariate of Athabasca, arrived from Montreal to help Rev. Father Rosenthal during the Xmas Holy-Days.
25. Christmas-Day. Solemn Midnight Mass sung [sung crossed out]

celebrated by Rev. father Rosenthal assisted by Rev. father Husson as Deacon and Rev. Father Lestanc as sub-deacon. Over 200 Communions were distributed. Excellent order prevailed, though the Church was overcrowded , so much that many could not get in. The choir under the able leadership of Prof. Tremblay rendered a mass in music very efficiently. Sermon was preached by Rev. Father Rosenthal.
Immediately after the midnight mass Rev. Father Lestanc went to the Convent to celebrate his three masses. During the day they were masses at 900 and 930, High Mass at 1100 by Rev. Father Husson. There once more the Church was overcrowded Rev. Father Rosenthal preached. Immediately after H. Mass, solemn Benediction of the Most Bl. Sacr. no service in the evening.
Rev Father Meyer held service on Xmas Day in Warner, Coutts, on the 26th & 27th in Milk River, 28th in New Dayton, from where he returned home. Weather in Xmas week very mild.

Jan 1. Solemn High-Mass celebrated by Rev. father Husson assisted by Rev. Father Rosenthal as Deacon and Re. father Lestanc as sub-deacon.
Rev. Father Meyer is gone to Taber for to day and to-morrow, will come back on Monday.
3. Rev. Father Lestanc left for Sacred Heart mission at Saddle Lake, to which he has been transferred.
8. Rev. Father Sylla arrived from Banff.
10 Rev. Father Meyer from the 6th – 10th visited Diamond City and the surrounding districts.
