5 [front/left margin] Monday. [underlined] Rev. father Mayer back – Fine weather – All our fences have been more or less diranged [sic] by the cement side walks & have to be redressed at great expense. Moreover we have had to dig an opening under the church to enter the coal, which work will cost nearly a hundred dollars.
7 [front/left margin] Wednesday. [underlined] There was yesterday a terrible storm in Calgary.
11 [front/left margin] VI Sunday after Pent. [underlined] Rev. father Rosenthal is to take the train to Winipeg [sic] to night; he is sent by our Rev. Provincial to represent this diocese at the Congress of the Cath. Germans to be held in Winipeg [sic] the 14th & 15th inst.
12 [front/left margin] Monday. [underlined] Rev. father Meyer who went to say Mass to Bow Island, last Saturday, came back at 2 A.M. He had only 20 people at Mass yesterday – Beautiful weather. – Rev. Mother Greene of Calgary is here visiting her Sisters F.C.J.-
17 [front/left margin] Saturday [underlined] – Rev. father Rosenthal was back from the German Congress, Winipeg [sic], at 2.30 A.M.; he is well pleased with his trip. – A téléphone is set up in our house for the first time. – at 3.30, we go together, Rev. fathers Rosenthal, Meyer et myself, to welcome our bishop, at his arrival at the Station, Rev. father Leduc accompanied the bishop.
18 [front/left margin] Sunday (7th after Pent.) The bishop said Mass at 8, assisted by Rev. fathers Leduc & Lestanc. Liturgical reception to the bishop before High Mass. After High Mass, the bishop gave the sermon & Confirmation.
19 [front/left margin] Monday. [underlined] Bishop Legal goes to visit Coutts with father Meyer. Rev. father Leduc goes back to Calgary – Rev. Mother Greene ditto. We have constant warm weather.
20 [front/left margin] Tuesday. [underlined] Our Bishop and father Meyer went to Taber, last night – and were back home at 2.30 P.M. – At 3h P.M., very Rev. father Lacombe arrives from his Hallowed Home and excites great joy all around

July 21. [front/left margin] Rev. father Lewis arrives just in time to shake hands with our Bishop and father Lacombe. Father Lewis is here to preach a retreat to the Sisters. He opened the retreat this evening at 8h. – We have offered to our bishop a little present of $15.00 & to Rev. father Lacombe a little box of books.
   While here, our Bishop has visited some of the surrounding country and has left us orders to visit as regularly as possible the following stations:

28 Wednesday. [underlined] Good weather – Rev. father Lewis, having finished the Rev. Mothers’ Retreat, goes to Calgary where he is to render the same service to the Convent – Rev. father Meyer is also gone to Calgary where Rev. father Charlebois will begin a grand retreat for the Oblate Fathers of this southern part of the Vicariate, this very evening.
30 Friday. [underlined] Masons are raising a brick wall around our premises here. The new cement side walks have cut the edge of the church property and forced us to renew our fences.
            August.
3. Tuesday [underlined] – Visit of a pretended Syrian priest. Father Rosenthal dismisses him quick, notifies the city police. Nobody could find him.
5 Thursday. [underlined] Rev. father Meyer is back from the Calgary retreat.
