About Two week ago, another man made hundreds of miles to come to confession and Communion…it was exactly Thirty One years, since he had received those Sacraments. Before returning home, he asked me for a certificate, that he may show it to his wife and large family, and, said he : There shall be joy for the One sheep returned….
And now, dont [sic] be overjoyed for these returns to God !! 12 [back/right margin]
Defection has entered the flock !!! a young girl, Adriene Vanhooke who came from Belgium less than Two years ago, was married in the protestant temple, Two days ago, to a protestant… and the same night another daughter of the same family left her home…and says …she is going to do the same. May God forgive these unfortunate girls… and may not the tears of their aged parents cry for vengence [sic] to Heaven….
Two young married men, three in fact, who were received lately in church, one in Winnipeg, a second in Med. Hat, the Third in Great Falls, are now under instruction and preparing for their first communion. They all came to Lethbridge to live. [double underlined] This is the 14th of January and no sign of winter yet 14 [written in right/back margin]
