born in the Nord West Terr. were refused their claim, because their parents had been in the United States, previously…
Others are refused because they had no permanent home, but were roving here and there… Thus, an old widow was refused although She had three of her children born in the Territory. Many women could not come and sent their parents or relatives to collect for them, but the commission would not accept power of attorney

It is to be hoped that the department of the interior will repay the mission.
Rev. & Father Therrien after an absence of about Three weeks has returned from his voyage in Montana… he is well satisfied with the Mission he gave at Lewistown.
Our, Dear Father Perreault, in the last stage of Consumption arrived here from Texas, where he had been sent for his health. He is very weak indeed and can scarcely move … He goeth [sic] to the Calgary Hospital.
