19 Entertainment given by the Children of the separate school at the majestic theatre. The attendance was not very great, owing to several causes, but specially to the fact that the said entertainment had not been enough advertised. The children however gave beautiful songs and comical prices that delighted the audience for three long hours.
The two dramas of the end specially, namely “King Alfred the Great” and “Mrs.Willis' Will” were a great success and met with the approval and repeated applauses of Every body.
21 The Knights of Columbus go to Calgary to attend the initiation that will take place to morrow. They are 25 going from Lethbridge, and they have rented a special ear that will take in passing by the Knights of Macleod and of several other places on the way. Father Rosenthal goes with them, as he is giving the sermon to morrow morning and will [crossed out] will act as worthy inquisitor in the afternoon.
22 Coronation of the King Georges V. It is a civil holiday in the whole dominion, and in the morning at 9 o.clock, a mass was celebrated and pretty well attended to implore the benedictions of the Almighty on our new Sovereign. The children were there in a body, and after the mass they took part in the parade organised [sic] by the city. All the houses in town are artistically decorated with bunting and flags, and in the evening a fire work was executed on Galt park which lasted till very late in the night. God save the King!

23 Reverend Father McDonald professor at the Winnipeg St. Boniface college comes here this morning by the four o clock train, accompanying the body of George Bakos, a young boy of sixteen, drowned on the eighteenth of this month, whilst swimming in the Seine River, Manitoba. Father McDonald will stay here three days and will say a few words of consolation to the family to-morrow at the funeral.
26 Father Bidault leaves by three o,clock train and goes to Taber for a sick call. Father Meyer being in Diamond City.
In the evening, a mass meeting has been called in the K. of P. Hall, under the auspices of the C.T.U. to the effect of proposing the amendment to the by-laws as decided upon at the last meeting of that society. The attendance was not very numerous. Yet nineteen have given their name to join.
30 This is the end of June and for the last three months the miners are on strike in B.C. and Alberta. No settlement has been made as far and nobody is able to foresee how long this strike is going to last.
The crops are looking fine all over the country and this year promises to be a very good one for the farmers.
