to Montana, to visit certain Catholics and make them fulfill their Easter Duties.
The Spring is very late, cold and snow even in this month.
   His Lordship Bishop Legal o m i came to Leth-         June 13 [written in back/right margin]
bridge on last Friday night and confirmed Nineteen of our children on last Sunday after High Mass. The Rev & Father Lebret of McLeod accompanied his Lorship [sic] and helped us in the ceremonies. The Bishop addressed the Congregation Twice.    In the afternoon a reception took place at the Convent School, when the children, with songs and recitations welcomed their first Pastor... They also presented His Lordship with a small basket of blossoms… which basket the bishop found rather heavy – but after examination it was found that the bottom of the famous basket was covered with Silver dollars beautifully shining under the flowers.
This Bishop returned early on monday [sic] morning to MacLeod.
We have almost continual rains, which makes the Country beautiful.
The pupils of the Convent School gave a fine concert           July 3d [written in back/right margin]
in the opera Hall, for the closing of the school … It was really wonderful how the little ones performed master adjutor Begin and his eldest sister Lydia deserve special mention.
The Rev. & Father Leduc is here to preach the retreat         July 17 [written in back/right margin]
to the Sisters … The new building at the Convent, the contract of which was let to Mr McGuire from MacLeod, has been pushed forward; the foundations are laid, but the lumber has not all
