27.th Augt [written in the top left corner of the page]
Returning to McLeod the next morning, we meet Rev Father Legal who resides at the Blood reservation. This Rev & Father is for over ten years in this district and has been most of the time engaged in missionary work among the Blackfoot Tribes especially these of the Piegans and Bloods.
R. Father Legal took father VanTighem with him to the Blood reservation where he never had been before, although for about nine year in this district.
Father Legal has a fine mission house on the reserve, is assisted by a lay brother, Br. Bareau, and a teacher, actually Mr Burk. There is also a scolastic brother: Danis, who, under Father Legal, completes his theological studies.      The little community live in perfect harmony, and the rules of our Congregation are strictly observed.   During his visit to Ottawa, last year, Father Lacombe obtained from the government, that a hospital be build on the Blood Reservation. The work has not been started yet although the Fathers expect daily the plans and specifications of this construction.
While at the Reserve we paid a visit to the agent, Col. Irvine, who received us very kindly and seems to be full of good dispositions towards the missionary.
After a few days passed in this happy little community, Father VanTighem returned to his mission of Lethbridge. The farm-instructor, Mr Wilson, took the father back.
Rev Father Therrien of Medecin[sic] Hat; who was to take charge of the Lethbridge Mission during the absence of Father VanTighem, could only pay two flying visits, as he had to look after three or four patients in danger at the hospital of Med. Hat.    So when Father VanTighem arrived in Lethbridge he found the mission without a priest and the good sisters in great anxiety as there was presently a person very dangerously ill.   Although it was dark when the father arrived,
