1892 [written in the header]
I have now given a general record of the the [sic] principal events and incidents which have occurred from the foundation of this new mission of Lethbridge, up to this date : January 1892.
Having no convenient registers at the beginning, and being incumbered with labors of every description, the Journal of the Mission had been neglected.
I hope that hereafter this Record will receive due attention.

1892 [written in the top left corner of the page]
For several weeks our miners work only two or three days per week… It seems the Company cannot find market for their cools [sic].
A New organ has been ordered for the church.
As the reverend Father Lacombe is in Montreal, we learned that Mr. Van Horn, President of the C.P.R. will give a free transportation of the different articles which the Rev Father will obtain for the missions.
An organ is needed at the convent for teaching the children hymns as also to accompany the Calisthenic Movements of the pupils.   Therefore we thought it better to purchase a larger one for the church, and hand over the other to the convent.
February [written in the front margin]
On the 3th of February we had rather a celebrated marriage in the church.      The Nephew of Cardinal Tachereau, Mr. Duchesnay from Quebec, but Sergeant of the N.W.M. Police at Lethbridge, was married to Miss Roberge.
It was a grand ceremony, assisted and witnessed by all the non-commissioned officers of this post.

To day 16th February, there was a concert in the Opera House, for the benefit of the Convent.
Mostly all the performers were protestants, and this is the best sign that the Mothers are very much respected by the Citizens of Lethbridge.   Captain Begin was the organiser [sic] of this charitable undertaking.   The receipts will be over one hundred dollars net.
March [written in the front margin]
March 6th   a Notice has been published that our coalmines will be closed on the 15th of this month…
All the unmarried men will be discharged.
